COVID-19 UPDATE APRIL 13th 2020
Due to the uncertainty of when we will be allowed to reopen, we have shut-down our online booking system and are not taking any appointments at this time. We are doing this to avoid a third round of cancelations and rescheduling. Without absolute certianty that we are allowed to open in May, we do not want to continue to take appointments which will have to be canceled yet again. Once we know for certain that our business is allowed to open, and our country and town are no longer dealing with the dangers of this pandemic, we will reopen the online booking system. This global situation is tough on everyone everywhere. First and foremost we thank all the health care workers risking their lives to help so many people in need. We are also very grateful to all the essential workers doing their best to keep everyone else going during these stressful times.
We miss our clients and we hope to be back to work just as much as everyone else does. But for now, the only thing that matters is that we all stay healthy. Hang in there! We'll get through this. |

Per the government mandate, Digger Dogs will be closed for at least the next two weeks. Due to the uncertainty and ever changing situation with COVID-19, we are not taking any appointments until the end of April. If we are allowed to open before then, appointments will be offered first to those who’s appointments had to be canceled due to this shutdown. We are doing our best to comply with the government, stay healthy & safe, and be fair to our clients. We love you all and will miss all of your pups!! Stay safe everyone!

I wanted to connect with you personally during these strange and difficult times. I have been monitoring the CDC website as well as the City and County websites very closely. After discussing things my employees, we have all decided to remain open. However, in response to the ever changing COVID-19 developments, we will be doing things slightly different in the coming weeks.
- As mentioned, we will no longer be doing walk-in nail trims until further notice.
-We are limiting the number of clients in our shop at one time. So please do not bring anyone with you to drop off or pick up. Also, if you see someone else checking in or out, be mindful and wait outside.
-I will personally be doing all check-ins and check-outs so that my groomers can maintain a “social distance” from all clients. Therefore, please have your grooming instructions ready and clear.
-I will be using our shop slip leads to bring in all dogs so you will need to take your leashes home and back again. Please do not hand off dogs to me, all dogs must be placed on the floor to be walked back. If they are old or scared, I will pick them up from the floor, not your arms.
- Lastly and most importantly, if you or ANYONE IN YOUR HOME is even slightly ill, please reschedule your appointment.

Once agian the holiday upon us before we are ready. As always, we will be closed for Thanksgiving day and Black Friday. We will also be closed a full week during Christmas. 6/19/2019 - HOLIDAY HOURS

This year Bristol's First Friday falls on July 5th. As always, our shop is closed on first Fridays to accommodate the street closures and due to the limited parking for our clients. Therefore, this July we will be closed on Thursday July 4th for the holiday AND Friday July 5th for the street fair. We will have partial staff coming in on Tuesday the 2nd to help add a few appointments to the week for those hoping to get their pups cleaned up for any holiday picnics they may be having. Please book well in advance for not just the holiday but all summer hours as we are currently booking about 2 weeks in advance. Thank you, and have a great holiday!

1/2/2019 - PRICE INCREASE
As we go into the new year it is imperative that our shop keep up with the cost of running our small business. Our starting price will now be between $50 and $55 instead of $45 for a Full Grooming. This means that almost every dog will have at least a $5 increase for their basic grooming cost in 2019.
As always, the price will reflect the amount of work involved and we will do our best to quote a price when seeing your dog in person. We do not base prices simply on breed type as each dog is an individual and not all owners desire the same look for their dog. Work will be defined by the length of the style desired, the condition of the coat, the amount of combing and brushing, and most importantly the amount of scissoring. Any style longer than a “summer shave down” may be subject to a higher price due to the extra time and work involved. Behavior of the dog will be taken into account if the dog shows aggression and requires more time than the average haircut.

We are closing for a few days after Christmas but will be open again that Saturday. We are also opening the Sunday before Christmas to help accommodate everyone who'd like to get an appointment in before Christmas. Both of these days, and part of the following week, will have limited appointments available as we will not be working with a full staff. The full staff and regular hours will be back to normal starting January 4th.

Sorry everyone. We tried to do just a half day on First Fridays but still ended up with complaints and too many problems. As we mentioned previously, we have clients from all over Bucks County, Philadelphia, and New Jersey and need to listen. To give our dogs the attention and time they need with the groomers they are accustomed to we would have to do some very specialized scheduling that would not be fair to so many of our clients, not to mention our groomers who travel distances to work in our shop. If you are able, please enjoy the festivals of first Fridays, and for everyone else we thank you for your understanding.

04/05/30 -FIRST FRIDAYS OF EVERY MONTH

Bristol Borough is ready to enjoy its third year of FIRST FRIDAYS. This event brings lots of new vendors to our streets as well as a few special sales for existing retail stores and restaurants. For more information on the monthly events please visit their Facebook page.
Due to the event however, Mill street and surrounding cross streets are shut down. Clients have informed us that the parking and traffic situation is not ideal for them on these events so we have decided to close early during each of these events. Please understand that we took a long time to make this decision and we are only responding to clients needs. Digger Dogs has clients from all over the Bucks County area as well as Philadelphia and New Jersey and we completely understand that dealing with blocked roads and lines of traffic are not ideal for your Friday nights. Therefore; We will be closing at 3pm every First Friday of the summer months to help avoid the frustration expressed in past years from our clients. Please book accordingly, and try to enjoy the monthly summer festivals if you are available. We thank you for your understanding. |

11/22/2017 - CHRISTMAS HOURS.

This year Christmas falls on the days our shop is normally closed. Some of you may also remember that we occasionally open on Tuesdays for the holidays. However, to ensure we all have extra time with our family and loved ones, our shop will be closed for three full days after Christmas. We will open back up on Friday the 29th & Saturday the 30th but with limited staff, which means limited appointments will be available. Please book well in advance if you'd like your dog freshly groomed for the holidays. Remember, you may book right here on our website! Hope everyone enjoys this holiday season!

Charlie came in last Saturday to claim his winnings. His Pope costume won him the most liked contestant in our Facebook Halloween Contest so he won a Free Grooming. Such a fun guy! We had a rough winter, and as the weather is slowly getting warming, everyone is anxious to get their dogs groomed for spring. Unfortunately, we have had to post-pone appointments due to the high demand of Saturdays. We appreciate those who do book in advance, and apologize to those who we've had to push to another week.
