THE BASICS
Digger Dogs Pet Grooming is a privately owned business that has been around for over 25 years. The business is currently in its third and largest location as growth over the years has demanded expansion. Owner Donna Worstall is not an invisible business woman, but rather the friendly face you'll see as you walk through our doors. At Digger Dogs you'll meet the owner, the groomers and assistants as well as "Digger", the owner's dog. We know it's important for you to see not only where your dog will be spending his/her time, but also with whom.

THE PROCESS
Our process is unlike any other. Each dog who comes into our shop is treated as if they were our own, not just while on the grooming table, but for the entire day.
The process starts by letting your dog(s) run around, play, and have a good time. When it's time to begin the grooming we begin with a "rough cut". This is when we get out any mats, cut the nails, clean the ears, and shave if necessary. Your dog then goes into our tub for a nice relaxing bath where he/she receives a good cleaning and massage. This is where we will address any specific issues such as dry skin, itchy skin, parasites, etc. Our shampoos are unique to Digger Dogs as they are a special blend created by our mixologist. The drying procedure is of course the next step. We have a special blow dryer which removes water, dead hair, and gives those longer haired breeds that nice full and fluffy look they were made to have. If your dog is still damp he/she then goes into the drying chamber which is set to blow climate controlled air around comfortably. Once drying is completed, he/she is let out to play with the other clean dogs until it is time to go back on the table for the final grooming.
Dogs are generally at the shop almost the full day unless otherwise requested by the family. Some customers are not happy leaving their dogs for such a long time, or simply have a schedule to keep and we completely understand. If you feel this way, always let us know when you come in for your appointment and we will be happy to accommodate. And don't worry, if we see that your dog is just not having a good time, for whatever reason, we'll let you know and once again make arrangements with you so your pup will not have to stay in the shop all day.

OUR HOURS
Our shop is open Wednesdays - Saturdays 8:30am - aprox 6pm. We are flexible with our hours as working with live animals makes our days slightly unpredictable, but we try not to take any appointments past 1:30/2pm. This is to ensure we will have enough time to finish each dog before closing time. ( Please take note of any special Holiday hours we may have in our "Latest News" section. thank you! )
